kids workshops - pre k 10 week classes

Pre-K Winter Art Lessons:
Development of Fine Motor Skills and Understanding Instructions
Both of these skills are tested by admissions directors for your child’s entrance into kindergarten.

(ages 4.5 to 5)

Tuition: $385.00  includes all professional art supplies, aprons, and nut-free,gluten-free snack and bottled water.

In Chris Babcock's pre-school art classes, children learn to paint and draw by interpreting paintings of modern masters and contemporary painters using professional quality acrylics on the finest museum quality cold press papers. These lessons help develop fine motor skills and the ability to follow instructions. During each lesson, Chris teaches her students a step by step method via the right brain drawing technique and basic shading and highlighting techniques to complete three 15 by 20 inch acrylic paintings by the end of the 14 week workshop.

During this Winter 14 week painting and drawing session, pre-k students study and produce their own versions of Wayne Thiebaud’s “Four Ice Creams”, and Toru Sanagawa’s “Penguin on Ice” and “Flying Pug”.
