Location: Chris Babcock Art
5907 California St.@21st Ave. San Francisco, CA
When art campers arrive, they work on warming up their right brains by creating Sharpie drawings on museum quality bristol paper, then Chris Babcock gives them step by step instruction and constant visual demonstration using a simple and easy to understand grid system to draw and paint three artworks by modern and contemporary masters: one animal, one still life and one figure painting.
All new painting images are produced each week, so your child can attend many art camps weeks over the summer and produce 3 completely original paintings each week. No one ever repeats a painting no mattter how many times they come to art camp.
The students use only professional grade acrylics on archival papers. By the end of the 5 day camp, each child produces 3 glossed 15 by 20 inch acrylic paintings on archival paper (this size fits ready made frames.)
Aftercare is offered from 3 to 5 pm for 15.00 an hour. Please email Chris in advance of camp to let her know what day and time you need aftercare.
Dog is at the Art Studio: we have a sweet and loving dog mascot on the premises named Mabel. If your child has allergies or a fear of doggies, let us know and we will not have Mabel at the art studio during your child's art camp.
Aftercare activities: watercolor, acrylic painting and colored pencil drawing on bristol board paper plus a gluten free organic popcorn and water.
